Q1: What is the difference between the Accelerated and Hybrid Online EMT Courses?
 

• The Accelerated EMT Course is a fast-paced program designed for rapid completion and certification, with a mix of in-person and live online sessions. The Hybrid Online EMT Course is an 11 week course and offers more flexibility, combining online coursework with essential in-person skill training and assessments.
   

Q2: How long does each EMT training program take to complete?
 

• The Accelerated EMT Course is structured around a 21-day program, spread over approximately 7 weeks, with classes held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Hybrid Online EMT Course is an 11 week course with periodic skill days done on Saturdays.
   

Q3: What are the tuition costs for each program?
 

• For the Accelerated EMT Course, the total cost is $1200, which includes tuition and the required textbook. The Hybrid Online EMT Course has a total fee of $1295, covering the course, registration, and E-textbook.
   

Q4: Who is the principal instructor for these courses?
 

• Mike Wilson, a former paramedic with over 40 years of field and classroom experience, is the principal instructor, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to both programs.
   

Q5: Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in these EMT courses?
 

• BLS certification is a prerequisite for EMT training but if you do not have this cert, we can provide the training for you on the first day of class at a reduced rate. 

• No high school diploma is required for the Accelerated EMT course but proof of High School Graduation is required for enrollment in the Hybrid. (A requirement of the State of California.)
   

Q6: Can I work as an EMT after completing these courses?
 

• Yes, after completing the course and passing the National Registry EMT (NREMT) exam. Once you have done this, you file an application with the county of Los Angeles to receive your State EMT card. Once that is done you can go to work as an EMT.
   

Q7: What is included in the course fees?
 

• Course fees include all necessary learning materials, access to online platforms, and use of equipment for practical skills training. There are no hidden costs.
   

Q8: How does the live online session work for the Hybrid Online EMT Course?
 

• Live online sessions are conducted using video chat for interactive learning, including lectures and Q&A sessions, ensuring comprehensive understanding and immediate feedback.
   

Q9: What happens if I miss a skill day?
 

• Skill days are mandatory for both courses. Missing a skill day will result in being dropped from the program as there is no way to “make up” a missed skill day.
   

Q10: What are the job prospects after completing the EMT training?
 

• Graduates have a high employment rate in various roles. Most graduates go to work driving an ambulance for one of the many ambulance companies. These jobs are always plentiful. Some also become ER Technicians or work while going to school to become RN’s, PA’s, etc. Many also continue their education to become Paramedics and or take tests to become firefighters. The demand for EMTs in Los Angeles County is very high, offering numerous opportunities for career advancement.
