Becoming Certified as an EMT:
The Accelerated EMT Course is a 7 week, 21-day program that runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each week. Our Accelerated EMT Course will provide you with the knowledge and skill you need to become an EMT in just 7 weeks. Whether your long term goal is to become a Firefighter, Paramedic, or ER Tech, our Emergency Medical Technician, our EMT course will start you on that path. Many of our graduates have also gone on to become RN’s, Physician Assistants, and some even go on to Medical School.
At our institution, we use a blend of in-person and online learning to ensure a convenient and engaging educational experience. Led by our Principal Instructor, Mike Wilson, a highly experienced, former Paramedic with over 40 years of expertise in both the field and the classroom, you'll receive fun, top-notch training that will help you become a competent Emergency Medical Technician.
Our curriculum covers all the relevant topics you need to learn about, including patient assessment, trauma care, medical and obstetric emergencies, pharmacology, and much more. Through a combination of hands-on skill training and live, interactive lectures, you'll develop the confidence and competence necessary to begin your career in Emergency Medical Services.
For larger class sizes, we have the ability to divide into two groups to facilitate more personalized attention and effective skill development. Both Group A and Group B sessions feature online lectures delivered live and online (not recorded lectures,) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. However, if we split the class into Group A and Group B, skill training days for Group A will always be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and Group B will be Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Our normal classes usually include just Group A, but larger enrollments during certain seasons may require the need for a Group B as overflow..
Our campus is located at the McCormick Ambulance Station in Hawthorne, California where we provide you with all the equipment needed to develop and hone the skills you need to function as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Hybrid Online EMT Course:
This program combines online learning with in-person classroom sessions to train students as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and prepare them for the National Registry Exam. Practical skills training, testing, and final exams are conducted in person. All necessary equipment for practical skills is provided at no cost. Weekly online sessions include lectures and Q&A. Attendance is mandatory for in-person skill training days. Students also participate in ride-alongs with local ambulance crews for hands-on experience.
